Swagman Roll recipe

Tue Jul 17, 2007 11:51 am

My mum used to make swagman roll when we were kids and I'm looking for the recipe (she said she's thrown it out).

It's made with mince meat and it's wrapped in pastry - it might go by another name.

Any ideas?

A sausage roll perhaps???

No sorry I can't think of what it may be, I've never heard of it.

ETA - Just googled it. The only thing I found was a website for Fraser Island and a link for some cheese place who have a swagmans roll. So possibly it has cheese in it.
I'm still looking though because I'm intrigued now.

ETA Looking at the menu for the cheese place. Their swagmans roll is just a Ham, Lettuce, Tomatoe and cheese roll - Not what you're looking for.

I know this was posted 9 years ago, but just wondering if you ever found the recipe? This is as close to the one my mum used to make that I could find: we just never added the garlic as my parents don't eat it (and neither do I haha)
