Need a sauce

Thu Apr 11, 2013 6:18 pm

Can anyone help me come up with a sauce to put with prawns, singapore noodles, bok choy, carrots, spring onions, green beans & brocoli.

I have;
fresh coriander, a bunch of spices, fresh ginger, chilli, kecap manis, fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, peanut oil and sesame oil.

I'm not very good with Asian cooking!

Anyone? Google isn't helping atm.

I've also got red capsi and those fried crispy noodles.

Is it too late WACM? I would fry grated ginger with chopped spring onions (and garlic if you have it) in peanut oil, then cook the rest of the ingredients. For the sauce - at the end, I would add a generous splosh of oyster sauce, a bit of soy sauce, some pepper and 2 tsp of sesame seed oil. Sprinkle some chopped coriander at the end through the noodles.

It was too late, but thank you C. I ended up doing honey, kecap manis, fish sauce, lime juice and ginger. It wasn't very nice lol. Too sweet and the lime juice was a mistake.

I'm thinking I might start a thread for stir fry sauce recipes lol.
