Have you ever cooked something inedible?

Mon Jul 15, 2013 2:31 pm

I'm cooking Tikka Masala and I'm not liking the smell and worried it will be foul... It reminded me of the time I cooked Biriyani and it was vile! It's been the only time in almost 10 yrs that DH hasn't eaten something I've cooked! I rarely use packet mixes, but both of these were... Enough said!!

Haha to both of those. Actually I cooked pumpkin soup last night and threw it out today. It's not that it was terrible, just not nice... It was just the pumpkin I believe, you cannot make good pumpkin soup without a good pumpkin.

Yep quite often. I am not a very good cook when it comes to dinners, but awesome at sweets :)

I was thinking I hadn't but just remembered the time I cooked (and I use that term very loosely!!!) chicken wings on a BBQ. Charcoal outside, raw in the middle.

Quite often when it comes to new recipes that I have never attempted before.

I tried a few weeks ago making that chicken stew that fast Ed made of better homes and gardens. Smelt nice making the marinade.. But cooking it just tasted like a half assed curry (no curry powder).. We ended up with take away

I am sure I have, but I don't remember what it was. Probably something with too much salt or burnt.

Yep! To the point the DH cooks dinner most nights now. I'm not a terrible cook by any means, it's just when I do cook I usually have a child or two hanging on me, demanding my full attention or I'm breaking up their fights so things tend to be umm.... very cooked.
