I'm not so sure about mine :( I think maybe I'm using it wrong? It just doesn't seem to mix things properly unless I make it go really fast. I was trying to make buttercream icing which I assumed would turn out perfect and I realised as I put it on the cake it looked like it still wasn't completely mixed properly :( I've already adjusted the head a bit lower as it was way too high and not mixing stuff at the bottom of the bowl :(

Any tips for me? Or is mixing at high speed the right way to do it?

Hmm, I'm not sure. I did a google and it suggested doing it on speed 2.

Yeah 2 did nothing, just seemed to move the ingredients around. Maybe I should have left it longer. I'm still getting used to it though, maybe the recipe I used doesn't work in kitchenaids?

Oh that all looks awesome. I'm still not loving mine. Tried to make cookies on the weekend and I just couldn't get the egg to mix in with the creamed butter and sugar :(

I have that problem too. I usually get a scraper out and scrape the butter off the bowl and that helps. I really want a scraper beater!!!

Looks like my kitchenaid is getting replaced!

I was using it yesterday and it starting making this godawful screeching sound  I called up today and since it is less than three months old they are replacing it. I wonder if this is related to my mixing issues?

I made some the other day and had no problems at all. Was thinking of you when I made it actually :)
