Nice Megs! I'm going to do a beetroot salad and coleslaw in my thermomix this arvo. I'll try to remember to take pics.

What's your beetroot dip recipe? I've got beetroot to use up from my garden. I've found one with cashews, feta, balsamic vinegar and sunflower oil. Similar?

Forgot to say your bread looks really good. Do you use improver and/or a proper tin?

I made this in the TM two days ago, lemon and coconut cake.

I make all my cakes, slices and biscuits in the TM because I can grind raw sugar rather than use white. Makes me feel slightly better about the amount of cake I eat

I made a yummy beetroot and chocolate cake last week.

That's the dip recipe WACM (I knocked it off from the thermomix site). When I make it again I'll use less cashews, as that was the predominant flavour.

I have been using bread improver that I got from woolies. I got a Baker's secret loaf tin, was only about $10.

Love the cake! Please keep taking pics of your cooking :)

Apple pull apart (my very first scroll). Dough was made in TM but I cut the apples and walnuts by hand. I need to tweak it because the middle is a bit doughy still. I probably need to space the individual scrolls out more...

This is my first attempt at a flourless cake. Boiled orange and almond cake *cough* slice with homemade Nutella on top (no Nutella for hubby!)

Image

Anyone know if I can reduce/replace the sugar? I cut it down from 250g to 200g already. Do cakes need sugar for consistency/texture or just flavour?

Wacm your pull apart looks great and making me hungy!!
And sugar helps to give the cake structure amd texture as well as taste Why do you want to replace it? Is it just because its not healthy? If i can gauge that, maybe i can offer a replacement?

Hubby is trying to lose weight but I don't want to give up my baking :) this cake had 2 oranges, 3 eggs, 250g almonds, baking powder and 200g raw sugar. If I can replace the sugar with something healthier, than it's a fairly healthy dessert, yeah?

Tomato relish, from a Jamie Oliver recipe. I chopped the ingredients in the food processor. Was a bit too sugary for my tastes though!
