The candidates are up at the aec website if anyone wants to suss out who they will be voting for

I'm happy fred nile and family first didn't bother running in my electorate this year but we have represented

The Socialist Equality Party
The greens
An independant who is a liberal party member who thinks the australian population needs to be 420 million that we need to flood the inland of australia for 'sustainability' and 'build a franklin dam'  I wish someone would make it illegal for people to use the word 'sustainable' when they have no idea what it means....
another independant that I can't find anything about, found his facebook page but its locked down
labor
liberal
another independant that has no info available online
one nation

so sorting out preferences for that lot should be fun...

well I found out one of the independants shares a home email address with a previous candidate who appears to be an extreme left wing journalist who focuses mostly on refugees. I might bump him up a little in the voting order...

The other independent is still a mystery. Seriously how can you expect people to vote for you without telling them what you actually stand for?

We've just got the four major ones in my electorate

- Labor
- Liberal
- Greens
- Family First

I think I might have to have a serious talk to my son.

I asked him who do you like Julia Gillard or Tony Abbott and he picked Abbott  - I thought maybe it was because I said his name second and that his teachers name is Toni, so I asked another questions 'who do you like Liberal or Labor?' and he picked Liberal....hmmm I think it's time for some political discussions with his

Oliver likes Julia Killer. But he can also name Tony Rabbit, Kebin Rudd, Bomb Brown (and "Racka Bama" from the US). I think I might watch a bit too much news around him because he can name them all without prompting.

Oh yay, once again we have 11 candidates. Sucks being a marginal seat.
This is the order of the draw:
One Nation
Christian Democratic Party (Fred Nile Group)
Australian Sex Party
Carers Alliance
Family First
Climate Sceptics
The Greens
Labor
Building Australia
Liberal
Liberal Democrats

I see my old electorate of Parramatta has two different types of socialists, the 'Socialists Alliance' and 'The Socialist Equality Party'

Once again I have a scene from life of Brian running through my head :)
