That is when we 'called it' and considered them properly walking, consecutive steps to get somewhere. Before that they were taking steps between DH and I or teetering 3-4 steps from furniture etc. They probably did the 'couple of steps at a time' stage for a couple of weeks before the above ages.
He did sustained periods of walking (like 10 steps) from 13.5 months, after a few months of taking a couple of steps now and then. He started walking as his primary mode of transportation about a month later - around 14.5-15 months.
